The Trust Steps

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don't depend on your own understanding.
Remember the Lord in all you do, and he will give you success.
Proverbs 3:5&6

Following a suicide attempt in 1993,God showed me that I did not trust Him (duh and I thought I was a super spiritual person), He began teaching me how to trust Him. These are the steps He walked me through. I hope they will help you as well!

Turn your eyes on Jesus and off of other people including family & friends, even the church, and see what Jesus thought about religion. Psalm 37:1-5; John 15:12-13

Recognize where you are, repent, accept responsibility for your wrong choices, and relate to other people and their problems. John 8:1-11.

U ntangle yourself from the past, understand what God means to you, and ultimately all of us sin and have missed the mark. 2 Corinthians 5:17-21

Speak the truth in love to yourself and others, stop doing wrong - learn to do right, and soar with the power of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians. 4:25; Isaiah 1:17

Talk to someone when you are hurting, tell people what Jesus has done for you, and trust God with everything. James 5:16; Matt. 28:18-20; 1 John 1:8-10, Psalm 107:2
