BLESSED

People who cover over their sins will not prosper. But if they confess and forsake them, they will receive mercy.
Blessed are those who have a tender conscience, but the stubborn are headed for serious trouble.
Proverbs 28:13-14

God hungers for us to hear Him and see Him working all around us. When we do that - there is no way we can continue with any "secret" sin. He wants us to confess our sin - even the thought of sin - to Him immediately so that our heart can be free to see and hear Him!

Back when I was actively involved in prison ministry I was amazed when I realized the number of people who actually had no conscious until they met Jesus! Then, after a time He pointed out to me that I was in much the same condition before I met Him too!

At the point of salvation the Holy Spirit connects with our conscience and helps us recognize sin and weakness in our lives. He comforts us and helps us deal with the ugliness that remains until we can get past the pain and the shame of our past.

Many people were never taught right from wrong. As a result, when they receive the salvation the Lord so freely provides they require a teacher. That is the foundation of what this ministry is about; helping people learn to walk with Jesus through their pain and shame - whether they are new Christians or not.

Father, help us this day to recognize any sin in our lives, confess it, and turn it over to You! Help us offer grace and mercy to people in our lives that are numb to the sin in their lives. We trust that Your love running through us and spilling over into their lives will give them the strength necessary to be real before You! Oh, Lord, we truly need Your grace to make it work! Help us understand that we are not truly blessed until we are walking in Your plan for our lives and loving the unlovely!

Hope you were encouraged.
