BE TRUE TO YOUR OWN

Drink water from your own well ¾ share your love only with your wife. Why spill the water of your springs in public, having sex with just anyone? You should reserve it for yourselves. Don't share it with strangers.
Let your wife be a fountain of blessing for you. Rejoice in the wife of your youth. She is a loving doe, a graceful deer. Let her breasts satisfy you always. May you always be captivated by her love. Why be captivated, my son, with an immoral woman, or embrace the breasts of an adulterous woman?
For the LORD sees clearly what a man does, examining every path he takes. An evil man is held captive by his own sins; they are ropes that catch and hold him. He will die for lack of self-control; he will be lost because of his incredible folly.
Proverbs 5:15-23

Oh, that we would always seek God's Word for the advice we need. Just think of all the men (and women) who would not be abusers if they truly believed God's Word. Hard to fathom isn't it? Instead, Satan convinces us that we know what is best and that if it feels good ¾ hey, just go ahead and do it ¾ there are no consequences. Then, as usual, the last laugh is on us.

Wouldn't it be wonderful to be married to a man (or woman) who literally cherishes you and finds you captivating? Can we really imagine that? Don't get me wrong, I think my husband loves me, but I honestly don't think he finds me as a loving doe, or a graceful dear, much less find me captivating. Yet, that is God's intention for us.

If we really knew, if we really could trust what the Word of God teaches us, we would know that God's plans for us are for good. He wants us to enjoy life and be satisfied. Instead, we go off on a rampage trying to please our flesh and in turn, God's perfect will for our life, which affects many other lives – is not accomplished and everything is out of whack!

It is not too late to start over. Once we place our trust in Jesus Christ, God begins to reclaim all that the enemy stole from us. Some say that we cannot recover our virginity. Well, maybe not physically, but we can become spiritual virgins and start all over with square one. Then, as we walk with Christ and He begins to recreate us we find that it is just like the song we sang as children says,
"Every day with Jesus is sweeter than the day before.
Every day with Jesus, I love Him more and more.
Jesus saves and keeps me and He's the one I'm living for.
Every day with Jesus
¾ is sweeter than the day before!"

Heavenly Father, I ask that you just start right now reweaving the tapestry of my life into all that you wanted it to be originally, before I went off on a strange and weary path. Plant me on solid ground and cleanse me from all my selfishness. I want to be sold out for you Lord. I want my life to be a living sacrifice ¾ holy and acceptable to you. Do what you have to so that I can truly say, "Here am I Lord, send me!"

Hope you were encouraged.
Please come back often.
