I chased my enemies and caught them;
I did not stop until they were
conquered.
I struck them down so they could not get up;
they fell beneath
my feet.
You have armed me with strength for the battle;
you have subdued
my enemies under my feet.
You made them turn and run;
I have destroyed
all who hated me.
They called for help, but no one came to rescue them.
They cried to the LORD, but he refused to answer them.
I ground them as fine as dust carried by the wind.
I swept them into the
gutter like dirt.
You gave me victory over my accusers.
You appointed me
as the ruler over nations;
people I don't even know now serve me.
As
soon as they hear of me, they submit;
foreigners cringe before me.
They
all lose their courage and come trembling from their strongholds.
The LORD
lives! Blessed be my rock!
May the God of my salvation be exalted!
He is
the God who pays back those who harm me;
he subdues the nations under me and
rescues me from my enemies.
You hold me safe beyond the reach of my enemies;
you save me from violent opponents.
Psalm
18:37-48
If wounded people genuinely want wholeness in their inmost being, they are going to have to get assertive; down right aggressive. We have to go after our enemies (Satan's demons) and crush them under our feet. Just as Jesus granted us this authority for David, He has granted this authority for us. When we enter into Spiritual warfare these demonic forces will cry for help, but no help will come until we come against them in the name of Jesus!
As we enter into worship of our great God and King this morning, let us do it assertively. Let us praise Him with all our strength. May we be present with Him in praise! He is our Rock! He is the God of our salvation and worthy of our praise; worthy to be exalted.
The first weapon of Spiritual warfare is praise. So, let's go praise Him in the battle!
Father, I look forward to joining with my brothers and sisters in Your family in praising You this morning. Give us the presence of mind to praise You and trust You to put our enemies under our feet!
