Happy Birthday
Cody David Hubbard
10-years-old today!

YOU ARE PREGNANT!

Mary asked the angel, "But how can this happen? I am a virgin."
The angel replied, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the baby to be born will be holy, and he will be called the Son of God.
What's more, your relative Elizabeth has become pregnant in her old age! People used to say she was barren, but she's now in her sixth month.
For nothing is impossible with God."
Mary responded, "I am the Lord's servant. May everything you have said about me come true." And then the angel left her.
Luke 1:34-38

Well, if anyone thought they had a reason for saying "no" to God, it was Mary. Here an angel was telling her that she was to have a baby, but she was a virgin. How in the world could that happen? Well, "nothing is impossible with God"! Do you get that?

Well, should God send an angel face to face with us most of us certainly could not use the excuse that we are a virgin, but we do find an excuse – don't we? Oh, it's easy if God asks us to do something we truly enjoy doing, but let me tell you this – there are precious few women who truly enjoy giving birth! Well, whether you are a woman or not God is telling you that He wants us to give birth to His purpose in our life!

As we get closer to Christmas Day we really need to pause and contemplate what the birth of Jesus inside us really means. Does His birth in us only give us access to Heaven upon our death? Is that the only reason we are saved? No way! He has more, much more for you this Christmas. A prenatal exam is not necessary. If you are a born-again child of God you are pregnant!

So? So, take care of yourself. As you shop, as you prepare, as you celebrate just know that you are about to give birth. Take special care of yourself or you will not be able to handle the birth process. It will catch you totally off guard.

We should respond with the humility Mary displayed and say with her, "I am the Lord's servant, and I am willing to accept whatever he wants. May everything you have said come true." Amen? Amen and amen!

Father, we truly want to give birth to Your purpose in our lives. Just as earthly mothers go and get sonograms to show them a picture of their baby resting in their womb, give us a mental picture of Your plan for our lives this Christmas. Give us a glimpse of Your glory!

Hope you were encouraged.
