16. Value
Of all the ideas I get sometimes, Lord, value is the hardest. To value things, to value health, to value life, this is the challenge. Value is a gift, and some may call it self-esteem, and some may call it materialism. Some may call it being caught up with the unimportant things in life. Without the basic needs being met, the higher needs are not ever able to be reached, claimed and enjoyed. So the basic things I need are going to be what I work on today. Share with me the value of basic things, Lord. Give me the clues to valuing what it is to live a life rich in love and beauty. Lord, I value not because I was taught to value, but because I CHOOSE to value what is important in my life.
